Department of Home Affairs
Marriage certificate

I got married in 2012, December through a church in Free State. My forms have been returned over and over by the Department of Home affairs, for different reasons everytime. The first time, we were told that my husband and I should go to the nearest home affairs office because he is a foreigner. Then I was adviced to submit the form at another regional office, of which we did and we were told that our forms were complete and will be catured. A month after, the printers were "not working". The irritating part is that i am the one who always had to call and nag for feedback. Now, 3 months down the line, still waiting, I was told that both of our witnesses were supposed to be South Africans, even though the other one had submitted a valid passport certified copy.

i am very disgusted by the feedback that I have been getting from the one Home Affairs office to the other, their stories (advices) are never constant and they seem notto know what they are doing, they never have answers aor explantions for anything.
