I received a fine last year in July driving on the highway somewhere in their district and got fined. The fine was paid, but then I started receiving almost daily sms's about this outstanding fine. Whenever I phoned to enquire it was like: Eiiissh you have a warrant for not paying. I faxed them the proof of payment NUMEROUS times, everytime I phoned back to find out if they got it I was told to phone back the next morning, or the person is out or phone after lunch - excuses excuses. Couple of weeks later I got the same sms so phoned them. Again. They said that everything was sorted out. Just now I got ANOTHER sms. Phoned again and nobody have any clue what is happening. This is now almost a year after the fine - luckily I keep old bank statements. This is pathetic!! How do you put people there who doesn't have the faintest idea of what they are doing??? Phoned again after emailing AND faxing it (AGAIN) and phoned back - they say they got it and will take it up with the supervisor. I hope the supervisor was appointed on his abiity to do the job. So we'll see. Funnily I'm expecting YET another SMS soon. Pathetic country we live in.
