I got a Tax Consultant to help with my e-filing last year. They asked for my e-filing login details (username & password), i gave it to them not suspecting anything. SARS Refunded me, what I thought at the time was due to me. The consultant was then paid a 30% of what had been refunded by SARS. Only to receive an sms this year stating that I owe SARS more than the money that they refunded. I then got a phone call from their call centre stating that I owe SARS, and they said the way my e-filing was done, it was declared that i had 11 (eleven) dependants on my medical aid, of which I am the only person on my medical aid. Now I am stuck with this debt and the consultant will not pick up my call or respond as to how she went about filing and what she is planning to do with regards to sorting out this mess she has put me in.
I would appreciate it if, something could be done.
