Department Of Home Affairs
ID document

I applied to change my surname since from 26 May 2013 and have been going in and out of Alberton Homeaffairs and told to return after 6 weeks with no luck. When I call the call centre I'm told the Head Office haven't received my documents to process my application due to forms that were submitted to Alberton Homeaffairs on the 10 December 2013. I went to Alberton home affairs early January 2014 and was told that all my documents were fine I must wait for their call to finalise everything. I haven't heard from them and today it's the 07 February 2014. I need my new ID ASAP as I am pregnant and would like my child to be delivered with the different surname. When you phone Alberton offices there is no response and I work at Auckland Park I can't skip work every week to attend to Homeaffairs.
