I did an application to have my disk renewed, made payment on 4 dec 2013. The City advertises that it take 8 working days to receive the new disk after making payment. Today is the 23 December and I still have not recieved my disk. I call the call centre then I'm advised that the disk got lost in the post. This is absolutely ridiculous! I'm also advised that in order to get a copy I now have to email my ID and a proof of payment. This is totally unacceptable, my current disk has now expired and I will most certainly be fined for this, which is not my fault but the City of Cape Town's negligence. I cannot send the requested documents which now means I will not recieve my new disk. Why do they advertise these simpler way of doing things if they are not able to fulfill our requests. Pathetic!!!
