We have had our water constantly switched off throughout September and October. We were told they were making repairs to the reservoir in our area (kenmare) so that we would have a reliable supply of water in the near future. We are now on Sunday, 17 November and have not had water for the entire weekend (during the daytime when you actually use water!). Cannot cook, bath or anything. In addition to this my water account on my municipal bill went up by R1600 this month. Imagine my shock when i have not had water for a large portion of the last 2 months!! They tell me it is a meter adjustment, but are charging me for the same 50 units already paid for in the previous months (according to the listed meter readings). They are not interested in my query and tell me i can make a payment arrangement but i must still pay! This situation has now become unacceptable and I am!
