SASSA failed to re-register my mothe

As per the advertisement on the local papers and radio stations, SASSA officials will visit elderlies that cannot go to the SASSA offices for re-registration. I am the daughter of Mrs TM Molope one of the South African elders that was promised a home-visit for re-registration after her card had expired.

The card was reported a month before that it is about to expire at the SASSA offices in Kagiso township by my brother Lucas Molope. The response was that she will not have to come in as she falls under the category that should be visited at home. The officials responsible for re-registration will visit her at home, which never happened, my brother continued to remind the SASSA officials of the visit and provided the address and ID number (340606 0537087).

Since then nothing happened and now she did not get her September pay - this is really a pathetic service for elders who cannot do anything and the people that work with them think so low of them that they do not prioritise when dealing with them. Why even come up with the suggestion if your department is not going to abide by it and do good to the older citizens.. This is sad as it happens in the month when the president of the
