After resignation from Mpumalanga Education Department, the Government Pension Fund Administration paid my pension money out within two months. Then I file my tax with SARS who instruct me to get an IRP5 for the lump sum from my (ex-)employer. Phoned several times, got a "person" on the other side four times.. you hold on for ages! Try just after 8 in the morning, then they actually answer - after holding on for 30min's!! Every time a new admin person listens to my story and say they'll file a request immediately, IRP5 should follow in 2 days. It's been three months now. Sent e-mail for two days to their enquiry e-mail address (one mail every hour). Eventually got e-mail stating that they received the mail, don't send another, they will forward it to whoever works with it. Now one government department (SARS) has put me under audit because another government department (Government Employees Pension Fund) cannot do their work!
