I'm extremely disgusted at the conduct of the Metro Police this morning. On my way to work this morning, driving along the Mabopane highway a Toyota corolla with learner sign on the fast lane suddenly swayed on my side at an alarming speed and in order to avoid an horrific accident I had no choice but to swerve to the yellow lane What happened after is still a shock, the metro police blue lights suddenly blazed on and I thought to myself "thanks, they going to get that car that almost bumped/killed me" no it was not the case..they instead stopped me, I ask why did they stop me and all I got was rude remarks, I tried explaining what happened to the officer and his response was that he had seem everything and I was not supposed to go on the emergency lane, I tried to explain my case again and all the officer did was just to ignore me completely so I gave up and told him to hurry up then since he's no willing to hear me out and his simple response was"You'll wait just like everyone else and I'll take as long as I want to"..I got a slap fine of R1000 for trying to avoid an enormous accident which could have resulted in knows what I strongly believe I was victimized by the metro.
