I reside in freedom park and City Power is treating us like we borrowing electricity from them instead of paying for it. Every day of the week we have no electricity from 16h00 till the next morning and sometimes during the day too around 11- 14h00 we dnt have power. when you call cith power you are put on hold for 30-45minutes before speaking to a consultant and they tell you they will send a technician between 2-6hours of the call but you wait for 48hours instead. they take power in certain house everyday, we cant cook and going to work in the morning is a nightmare because the water is called. 2 weeks ago after we had no power for 4 days we were told about a transformer that had to be changed but we still having the same problem, problem we have been strugling with for years.a while ago after it took technicians 24hours to get to my house, I asked them why and the answer was 'THEY USE ESKOM NOT CITY POWER' hows dat 4 service. City of Joburg has to do something or take their poles and cables an keep them.
