The past few months I have receive notices from City Power informing me that no-one was home to do a meter reading and threatening to cut off my electricity unless I make arrangements for a meter reading. I received such a notice on Friday 31 May 2013.
I am a working woman and do not have full time maid. This method is archaic and unfairly prejudices people like me who work and who are not sitting at home waiting for random meter readings.
Furthermore, upon contacting City Power on Friday 31 May regarding setting up such a time both via phone and email to readings [Email Removed] I have had no satisfactory response.
I spoke to someone on the call centre number and we agreed that a meter reader would come to my house on Saturday 1 June. No-one arrived. I left a message on [Email Removed] and have not had an acknowledgement.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how i resolve this?
