No progress in getting my pension/file processed

I retired as a teacher in December 2012. My principal forwarded the necessary documents long before needed. We made sure everything was done. Yet I've been without any income since December 2012. I couldn't keep up with my medical contributions with GEMS so I was suspended, leaving my husband, daughter and grandson without coverage as well. All my accounts are unpaid. I don't have any money, so I tried to get UIF and old age pension, but was told I am registered with the Department of Education and I can't be helped.

I've phoned, I went to the area office, GEMS and the GEPF offices in Mmabatho in person. I was told all my documents were in place, and I even took an extra set of copies, certified by the area office to the GEPF offices personally. On 15 May 2013 I was told my file had been sent to Pretoria on 3 May 2013, but it was not! I phoned on many occasions and left messages but nobody came back to me.
