I am divorced. My ex husband passed away Dec 1 2011. Half of the pension is due to me as per divorce settlement. I have submitted all relevant documents, twice in some instances as forms have been lost also and no payment has been made out since. I call GEPF constantly and visited the offices in Pretoria on numerous occasions. Service is pathetic. I called last week only to be told again its in process and also all documents are received so there is no reason why I shouldn't get paid.. BUT I WAS ALSO TOLD that my file was in storage, forgotten about so therefore nothing was done - but not to worry its now in process!!! I am furious. This week I have been following up constantly, still no payment! No one can give me answers as to why I'm not receiving my payment. There is no one to even escalate this matter to or put a formal complaint through to. Seems GEPF is quick to collect but not pay! I am still shocked at the terrible service I have been receiving.
I want my monies due to me, paid immediately. What am I suppose to live on??
