Trudon, Publishers Of The Yellow Pages
Illegal Ad

In November 2012 a sales rep phoned my fiance in regard to placing an ad in the Yellow Pages. He told the rep that the Telkom account was not in his name so would have to ask me first. The rep got him to sign the forms anyway but would email me the forms to sign but would not put the forms through until he had my signature. I refused to sign the forms and the 2 proofs. When the rep phoned again my fiance told him to cancel it. I have now been billed. I checked the book and was horrified to see it there and even more horrified to see that they have used our home address and phone number in the ad!
I sent an email to Telkom and received a phone call on the 28.02.13. The lady said she had the 1st recording but could not find a recording of the cancellation, handy that. I told her that it was illegal as I had not signed the forms and she said that my fiance had given our home number so they went on that. She said she would phone me back that afternoon after she had spoken to the rep and listened to the recording, which I assumed she would do in the 1st place. I'm still waiting and I will not be paying this account!
