In November 2008, I had a fibreglass pool installed by Splash Pools and the supplier was Leisure Pools in Pietermaritzburg. The pool with installation cost R55 300.00
Early in 2012 I noticed bubbling forming on the shell of the fibre glass pool.
I approached Leisure Pools in March 2012 regarding the problem and was advised to log a claim through along with all relevant documentation.
Since then, I have been contacting them on a monthly basis to check on progress... which seems to be extremely slow. Their response is that they are basically waiting on NCS resins.
I understand that there are many pools affected by this problem (300) and that repairs/replacements will take some time, however what does concern me, is the lack of an official statement from NCS/Leisure Pools regarding this, to their customers. I have approached NCS resins (September 2012) regarding the problem and they have responded saying that they are awaiting on decisions from higher management. Its April 2013 - NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!
My pool is deteriorating very quickly now, and is starting to look un sightly because of the fibre glass lining flaking off.
