I dropped my kitten off at the cattery as my partner and I were expecting guests at our home that are allergic to cats. I paid for the three days in full but due to personal issues and Circumstances, we were unable to collect our kitten on the expected date. I believed that my kitten would be in good hands for a few extra days and that it would not be a problem as the cattery seemed quite and the people seemed so nice.
When I phoned them about a week or so later, after dealing with the personal issues and making sure that my kitten would be fine to come home again, I asked if my cat is still ok and if it would be ok for me to come pick him up. The man then informed me that he had given my kitten to other people because he felt that we had abandoned our kitten there.
Not once did the cattery try and contact me before deciding to GIVE MY KITTEN AWAY, and find out if we still want the kitten because we are a few days late. He just gave it away and waited for my call.
This is unacceptable. The man then also went into my personal life "reminding" me that my complex does not permit cats. None of his business!
I thought I left my kitten in good hands!
