Cursu also sold me their product through a consultant on 13 Dec 2013. I made an initial payment of R 12000 on my credit card with an agreement with the consultant that I would pay the remainder at the end of January 2014.
Despite this agreement, they continued to put charges through on my credit card on 24 Dec 2013 and 17 Jan 2014, so that to date a total charge of R 20 950 has gone through on the credit card.
The interesting part is the fact that I realised the error very early and actually returned the product to them by way of couriers within the 5 day "cooling-off" period as mentioned in the contract and the Consumer Protection Act.
I also sent them the required notice stating my that I wish to make use of such cooling-off period and want to cancel the contract.
Where the dishonest part comes in is the fact that the courier company could not return the package on 19 Dec 2013 because Cursu was closed until 15 Jan 2014 (which I only found out later), and now they are saying that the there was somebody there the whole time to accept the packages and as such refuse to refund me.
Currently the case is with my lawyers to pursue it further.
DONT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM!!!
