No report on why we need a new Engine after 90, 000

We've been without our Tiguan 1.4 TSI 2009 since 2 Dec 13. Lindsay Saker have still not provided us with a report as to why we need our engine replaced. We took ownership of the car in Sept 13, from a dealer in Pretoria & the car had just had a full service. We have been waiting over a month for a report WHY this has happened. We know there is a latent defect with Tiguain 1.4 TSI's. And the fact that the piston blew which led to the engine dying is all too clearly pointing at a design problem/weakness. There is general information out in the public domain that about 100's of these engines have this problem. The turbocharger and the supercharger overlap each other on acceleration. This causes an immense thrust on the piston with the result being that it simply collapses/shatters. This is clearly a design fault and regardless of guarantees the design manufacturer has an obligation to either recall those engines or repair them at their cost when the problem arises. VW produce this engine, with this fault, and VW are therefore liable unless they can prove we had some failing as the driver. This is bizarre as we have done only a couple of thousand km's! SHOCKING to have NO report still
