Last Monday I was the victim of a smash and grab, thus I had to have my passenger front side window replaced.
After going through to one of the national chains in auto glass, I remembered about Alumni (close to where I grew up, and used them before).
Without going into too many details, they replaced the window the same day for about 25% of the cost of their competition.
I fully understand that the glass might not be as strong, thick, etc as a more costly option, but at a quarter of the price, its a no-brainer. And the window I replaced about 2 years ago has not had any issue.
To put it in perspective of the same cost of one window at their competition, I could replace the window, add anti-smash and tint film to all but the front windshield, and still come out a bit better.
