I Recently sent my sons vehicle into Hatfield Volkswagen in Pretoria to get a quote for repairs after his GTI Golf broke down. The quote cost me R790.00 and the quote was R44500.00 to replace and repair all the damage caused by a broken cambelt. The R790.00 would be credited back to me if the repair was done at VW Hatfield.
I felt I needed a second quote and took this car to a reputable garage in Benoni and after assessing the problem they quoted me R2790.00 to repair this problem, They completed the repairs and the car has been running fine since then. Please avoid Hatfield VW Service Centre. The VW Service Manager is very arrogant and suggested after I have the car repaired somewhere else I will land up bringing it back to him to have it done properly. I don't think so.
