The SPCA and their "supporters" constantly preach spaying/neutering of dogs and cats. I want to spay my dog as soon as possible and four different SPCA branches had the audacity to tell me that I can afford to have my dog spayed at the vet! What gives them insight into my life and financial situation? Do they realise how much it costs to use the services of a vet sometimes? Also, aren't they in dire need of money? Money that I was willing to pay to them, but only hoping that it would be slightly cheaper than the vet? This is South Africa!!! Most of the population is trying to turn every cent three times and we are trying to do what is best for our animals too! I only have one dog, I am not someone who thinks they can just buy scores of dogs and then cruise through life for free. All I wanted to do was spay one little dog. I am irritated by the cheeck of this organisation. PLUS, I thought about adopting from them in future. No thanks, I'll take my million dollars and BUY a dog and the three of us will live happily in my Sandton mansion. Get real, SPCA.
