I rented unit number 377 from the Westrand Self Sorage Branch for 1 year. I gave them notice to vacate the unit in good time and all was well. I vacated the unit on the morning of the 1st of November only to be told that I would now be billed for the whole month of November since it states in the "terms and Conditions" that vacating on the 1st would make me liable for the whole month. My question is, why was this not highlighted to me before. I remember speaking to the admin guy at Westrand who told me send the written notice and he never mentioned no such thing. Only when I phoned them to enquire about my deposit did I hear about this ridiculous rule. I recommend that this should be HIGHLIGHTED to all your customer that have given notice. I should wait to hear about "THE RULE" afterwards. I FIND THIS GROSSLY UNFAIR AND UNJUST THAT I HAVE TO PAY YOU A WHOLE MONTHS RENT FOR THE FEW HOURS THAT I "DELAYED' TO VACATE THE UNIT. DO YOU HONESTLY THINK THAT WITH THIS KIND OF SERVICE THAT I WILL USE YOUR SERVICES AGAIN OR RFECOMMEND YOU TO A FRIEND/ RELATIVE... I am livid...
