I consulted Cavendish on 12 October for a gel overlay, a manicure, a pedicure and wax paraffin wraps. My experience was less than satisfactory. The colour was poorly painted on, the acrylic tips wre thick and unsightly. This was worsened by waking up two days later with chipping of one of my nails.
I was unwilling to work for an entire week with chipping nails, but working in Paarl means I have limited range of movement, and was unable to consult at the Cavendish branch.
I contacted Cavendish and informed them I was incredibly unhappy and it was arranged that I could consult at Cape Gate during my lunch hour. Unfortunately they did not have the colour I had on my nails and I had to have them all removed and replaced.
They soaked for less than 5 min and intermittently scraped the gel off with a metal file, injuring my nails in the process to the point where one broke and they had to file it shorter! And I arrived at work half an hour late due to the whole process taking 1 hour and 30 min. The work was even shoddier than Cavendish. With the colour looking incredibly faded due to thin coats having been applied. Four days later it was chipping and my nails were breaking!
