NON-REFUND ON ADVANCE PAYMENTS FOR SERVICES

My wife and I were parishioners of the Church of Scientology (Johannesburg) and have spent easily over R200, 000 with the organisation seeking spiritual freedom. We currently have about R25, 000 on account for services and courses we have not yet undertaken. Last year, April 2012, we realised what the Church of Scientology was offering was no longer for us and made the decision to leave. We notified the Church of Scientology that we were no longer part of the organisation and that we wished all funds on our accounts be refunded/repaid back to us as we were no longer going to make use of the organisation's We have had to sit through interviews, complete checklists and write up statements which apparently had to be completed as it was the organisation's policy in such matters. This took weeks! On completing what the Church of Scientology wanted, we submitted the documentation to its International head office in Hollywood, California in October 2012. It is now almost a year later and after hundreds of emails back and forth to ascertain what is the problem we are no where closer to resolving the matter. Be warned if you find you want your money back from this organisation.
