Carisa Mei was contacted to do a photography shoot for Grade 10 pupils for their Debutante's ball. All enquiries and bookings are carried out by the pupils, who are 15 / 16 years old. She accepted the assignment, sent an invoice with T & C's, and the deposit was paid to secure the date. On the day prior to the event, the photographer called the pupil to ascertain whether the balance had been paid. The pupil advised her that they would pay her in cash at the Ball, but the photographer said she only accepts EFT's, as per her T & C's. There were no such terms in her T & C's and numerous people tried to get hold of the photographer, leaving messages, to no avail. Ultimately she did not arrive for the function, and subsequently never answered her phone or replied to any messages left for her to contact them. The pupils lost their deposit, and obviously did not get any professional photographs of their Ball. She took advantage of their age, and threatened the school and the pupil.
