I started paying my debt counselor in april 2008. signed contract on 19 june 2008. supposed to be debt free in june 2013. requested settlement figures in april and was told he was not getting response from my creditors and informed me to stop making payments to the npda and settle the debts myself. i settled debts and emailed proof of payments. i received threats from a company called pholosa, claiming they are attorneys and demand R40 000 to be settled with immediate effect in april 2013 as they only received 1 payment from the npda since 2008. this was a personal loan from kagisano, original debt R11 000. debt counselor told me he faxed all relevant payments to pholosa and does not get feedback. i have been phoning my debt counselor on a weekly basis since april and get the following response: sorry i forgot, too busy with clients, will get on to it right away, and that's that. this cannot continue and i need to clear my name. threatened again on 21 june at 19H05 demanding the amount of R39 000. My debt counselor told me that pholoso and kagisano are partners which is not the case. I need to clear my name a.s.a.p please assist
