To whom it my concern,
My TV license was cancelled about 5 years ago and when applying for a new one about 2 years ago I was told that I was in arrears with my "current" TV license as it wasn't cancelled. Apparently you can't just cancel a TV license. Now the people I spoke to gave me direct instructions as to how to go about cancelling my TV license and I did. Now if SABC's personnel is not properly trained that does not make it my problem. After a long struggle my wife took out a TV license as I couldn't get one. Now it seems like the only way of resolving the problem is to pay the TV license so SABC got their Dept Collectors VVM to harass me by email and sms. I'm tired of explaining the situation to SABC and VVM. I won't be paying for a TV license I didn't know I have.
