Brooks and Luyt
Instituting legal proceedings based on false claim

I have repeatedly been threatened by employees at Brooks and Luyt to pay an amount between R3000 to R1000 on my FNB credit card or face legal proceedings. No matter how much I tell them that I do not have that kind of money as I was retrenched and now work for a greatly reduced salary at a new company; the person (Lizzie) insisted that it was just 'good adfvice' to follow if I wanted to avoid being blacklisted. I repeatedly stated that I am trying to pay off several accounts, and that I would have to rob a bank or a store if they wanted more money. Lizzie also requested me to send proof of the accounts I was paying, as well as proof of my lower income and bank statements, which I did.
Even though i paid regular amounts of R100 per month (as it was all I could afford) they have now started legal proceedings against me; claiming that not a cent has been paid, regardless "of their efforts requesting me to do so". The application was done by their lawyer Natasha Jardine.
I even committed to paying R250 in March - it was paid (which I cannot afford) but keep getting smses that I am failing to commit. These people will drive me to do something illegal.
