I just received a copy of my credit report and it shows that MBD Attorney's listed me for debt that has prescribed. I raised a query with Totalsports and they told me that the debt was ceded to MBD, I could not pay the debt since 2008 since the last payment and they listed me in May 2012 which makes it 4 years, I believe it has now become practice to sell a debt over and over to get different collection agnencies to collect on the debt. I would like to have the listing removed off both Transunion and Experian as this is unscrupolous behaviour.
According to the Prescription Act 68 of 1969 the debt has now prescribed as I also have not been contacted during that period by any agency.
