At 08:06 on 29 March (Good Friday) I received an SMS stating: "Summons has been issued against you and will be served by the Sheriff shortly, Contact Brooks and Luyt... etc.
Were I in the wrong, I would have spent the entire LONG weekend fretting. As it is, there can be no summons being issued as I make regular payments having been only ONE DAY late twice in the last 12 months.
I contacted the Call Centre this morning at 09:57and updated my address which B&L have STILL not updated despite repeatedly being informed.
I hope this is not an empty threat as I would love to speak to a Magistrate asking that I be allowed to pay slightly less a month. I doubt that he/she will be impressed with the draconian tactics being used to intimidate a client who is honouring her commitment.
I also hope that I'm not being charged for this SMS or any other sent out arbitrarily by B&L.
