I have had an Edgar's account that went into arrears a few years back, I was traveling and found it hard to maintain it while I was away. Upon return to South Africa, I searched for and found my account, that had been handed over to VVM. I found that my initial arrear amount had ballooned, but still made a promise to pay an amount of R300 per month. Since that day, over 2 years ago, I have paid every month. I skipped once, but paid double the following month. For over 2 years, without fail, the consultants at VVM had been calling me every single month to confirm that I would pay. I have asked them to stop calling and to look at my history, but they can't because their 'computers' won't allow that. They tried to call me today, but I was in a meeting, so I rejected the call. A few minutes later they called the reception desk at my office and left a message saying that they are calling from VVM regarding my Edgar's Account. I thought that financial matters were confidential, but I could be wrong. Every month, I receive numerous texts and emails threatening to take further action, claiming that I have failed to pay this account, but I have proof that I have been paying it.
