I had an account with Edgars (7000100100111749917) which I last paid on in 2007 and the account still has a balance. I received a call from MBD attorneys about 2 months ago regarding payment on the account. I told the lady that the account has legally prescribed and they should not contact me in future. Over the last 2 weeks I have received about 4 sms's from MBD demanding payment with the most recent one this morning 26/08/2013. I called MBD and eventually spoke to Ntombifuthi Modivela and told her also that the account has prescribed. She advised me that there is nothing they can do as they need to get instruction from Edgars to close the file on his account and told me to contact Edgars and tell them that the account has prescribed. I was put on the phone with financial services at Edgars City in Adderley street and spoke to Nokukhanya Maseka who did not know what prescription means. I asked her to get her manager and after holding for a while she dropped the call. Could you please assist me
