A few years ago I had a Woolworths account and due to financial difficulty I could not afford payments and was handed over to attorneys. About a month ago I received a settlement amount at 60% discount from the debt collector, which offer I accepted and paid the amount in good faith that the balance will be written off and file closed, as per the promise from the debt collector. I was also promised a paid up letter.
Despite three weeks gone by numerous phone calls and messages is left unanswered by RL Daly. The promised paid up letter have not come to light, and to make matters worse the call centre collector have contacted me just Friday to threaten me with legal action if I don't pay the account immediately.
Further frustrations is that I am receiving daily sms' threats of legal action from another debt collector, MBD attorneys for the exact same account.
