I had an Credit Card with ABSA for many years. The majority of 2008 I was unemployed and from 2009 - 2011 I was a full-time student. During this time I was in arrears with my payments of my credit card instalments and was eventually handed over to Notton Lambrianos Attotneys (NLA) for debt collection.
Since 2012 I have a full time job and I have a debit order (2nd of every month) where money gets paid to NLA. Initially is was R 500 but I changed it now to R 700. Every month I get phone calls/sms reminding me of my next payment and every time I tell them I have a debit order where they will receive their money. I DO pay my instalment every month and it has come to a point where it is HARASSMENT.
