Due to a Coronary infarction my mother had a coronary angiogram and stent implant. Due to a previous stroke my mother was disabled and paralysed on her left side. The angiogram was done on the 06/12/12. On the 07/12/12 the cardiologist discovered a massive hematoma on the right groin. He himself quoted that the insident could have been prevented. An emergency operation was done on her right leg. My mother was a high risk patient due to anemia, the coronary infarction and a history of being on a anti-platelet (Warfarin) treatment. After the sheath was removed from her right groin the post-operative care was not done correctly. Due to my mothers poor overall health condition the family decided to sign a do not resuscitate notice. My mother died a cruel death, the hospital resuscitated her without our consent. There was signs that she aspirated. We as a family are looking for answers from the hospital. The hospital stated that we as a family have social and internal problems and we are looking for somebody to blame. An unprofessional quote made to a grieving family.
