Absolute nightmare

I have been trying to cancel a reservation for the past week and a half. I booked online at the advice of the central reservations personnel (because it was slightly cheaper). The reservation and payment was made in february the reservation was for May. i have literally been from pillar to post and back to the pillar. the reservations people saying the hotel should have the booking and providing me with a reservation number. the hotel saying they dont have the reservation and sending me back to reservation. eventually it was decided to send me to the accounts department to check if payment was actually made (after i had sent my credit card statement indicating that the charge was made). the accounts department has not indicated that the front desk (reservations for the hotel) should have done the paperwork first before asking me to speak to the accounts department. it is deplorable service from an establishment such as this. i have always wanted to come to greenway in fact from the time i wanted to cancel i explained that i would have just postponed but dont have a date as yet. i seriously doubt it now.
