Netcare
Treatment

On 06/04/2013 i was booked in at Casualty for high fever and tight chest. I was taken in for assessment and my temperature was about 38, 9. I explained to the nurse that was assisting me that i was also in pain, and that the pain was from my back, ; muscles and joints. The nurse was quite helpfull and explained to me what was going to be done. Blood tests and X Rays were done to determine what was wrong with me. I was given something for pain and a Nab for the cough. I was told that everything is clear and that i could go home, but what was confusing was that not even once did the Doctor check my chest, and i was given something for the pain, and an Anema as the Doctor told me that i might be having pains in my stomach due to constipation. Two days later i went to see my GP, Dr Covenden who diagnosed Bronchitis. I was not getting better and the cough had gone worse. I had to be put on antibiotics as my chest had developed an infection. I have to say, i was dissapointed by the kind of treatment that i received. I've paid a bill of -R1600 towards the hospital and had to pay another - R800 to my GP to get another treatment. I'm very dissapointed with the service that i received.
