I booked accommodation through owner of this lodge and paid more than my deposit. I cancelled with 2 months notice due to an unfortunate problem back home in New Zealand. I contacted karin and asked for cancelation & some money back but obviously she can keep her percentage of deposit as is standard law with lodges/guesthouse etc, she has many excuses why she can not reply or return money. First she had no internet, then her computer was being fixed, then she was renovating and unable to supply any contracts or terms & conditions.
It is now 3 months on she stops reply to messages and still no money.
I understand I would lose apart of my deposit but she has keep all deposit and booking so I am now having to take her to small claims court.
I wish to warn people against Karin she is untrustworthy and will take your money and run.
