On the 30th of March my Grandmother was rushed to Arwyp medical centre after suffering from a mild heart attack. She was ommited to their High care unit where we experienced great service and care. We were kept up to date with her condition and test results on a daily basis. After some serious complications during and after surgery she was moved to the Intensive Care unit were she is currently treated. After moving to another unit, the service and availibility of information on her condition have really upset us. The sisters looking after her do not have sufficient information on her condition, they do not handle the patients gently and dont offer any emotional support to her. The neglect of some things which seem to me to be basic knowledge, concerning warning signs and care, resulted in her condition to deteriorate for the worse. The doctors and sisters waited for her condition to turn critical before responding with treatment which shouldve been given a week before. To make it worse, the doctors are never available for the family to consult and we struggle to get any feedback on her current or future condition because they are no where to be seen!
