My wife went to see a specialist in April 2012. Prior to see ing the specialist my wife obtained authorization from Discovery Health as my wife was on the KeyCare Plan. I was then asked to fax the medical invoice to discovery health and received no feedback for months. When I did follow up, there was no record of my fax. I was then asked to resend the invoice, which i did in December 2012. Subsequent to that, I received an email stating that the claim was submitted too late an that I am liable for the bill. This means that Discovery may 'lose' your claim and then it ends up being submitted late and then Discovery does not pay the claim.
Unfortunately my company uses Discovery as their provider and I would switch at the first instance if i had an option!
