Refusal to acknowledge mistake or attempt to fix

I received poor pharmaceutical advice regarding a cough medicine. I went back and pointed out that it's not working, and that the premise upon which it was bought was incorrect (it's "herbal", which I was not informed of when I asked about the active ingredient).
I was told in no uncertain terms that it was my problem, that they don't take returns, they have been in business for years and they are doing just fine, thanks very much.
