I had a room booked for a night (25/03/2013) and when I got there it turned out to be a double room with two single beds instead of a double bed. After calling the hotel reception to change the rooms, I was told that that the hotel is fully booked and if I want a double bed I should combine the beds myself. The time was around 10h00 at night and if I wanted to slave off then I would not have booked a hotel. I have stayed in various hotels before and they all had the courtesy of bringing someone in with a connector to combine the beds. Protea Hotel Midrand did not have a connector and were not willing to assist. I am deeply disappointed at the level of service that I was given.
