Both my parents had to go to hospital a number of times over the part 18 months. The nursing staff shows zero consideration for their patients. As the problem recurs everytime they are hospitalised, it seems that no action is being taken against the nurses. Patients are severely neglected. Admitance does not check where and when patients have to be, nor do they know where the patients are when the doctors all to ask when they are coming to see them thins like drips and dirty dressings are not removed or changed on the doctors instructions. the nurse accopmaying the doctor on rounds does not document procedures to be done prior to further treatment, causing delays and further costs for patients. Files are misplaced, patients are not processed timeously for admittance or discharge.
This hospital's staff have no concept of patient care, despite their credo patients come first. Nurses are asked repeatedly to provide a service and bells are ignored. Complaints about the service go nowhere, even when taken up with the people in charge. There is an urgent need for improved service and performance management.
