The hospital has been charging full price, but for some time has not provided linen or towels for the wards. We understand this has been like this since they outsourced their washing of the linen. We have been treating children for Viruses and other contagious diseases in a ward that has 25 beds but only 2 towels for all the children. We have discussed this with management and all they have to say is that we must use the towels sparingly. It is so bad that in other wards we hear they are unable to admit new patients as there are no sheets to put on the beds. We treat most of the children in the ward and require a clean towel for each child and one under their heads during treatment to prevent them from passing on their germs to the next child. This has become a health and safely problem and the children are at risk of contracting other germs while under our care.
