Membership cancelled without notice

I sent in debit order switching forms to FNB to switch my current Discovery and Discovery Vitality debit order details. I sent an email to Discovery to hear what was going on as I saw my debit order was not deducted. The reply I received just confirmed that the email was not even read as it just gave me the banking details and did not attend to my query regarding the debit order at all!!! I then sent another mail to which I have had no response! FNB contacted me today to say that Discovery does not allow FNB to switch the debit orders and that I have to contact them myself. I then went ahead and paid both Discovery and Vitality this morning, only to receive an sms later to say my membership has been cancelled!! Discovery did not even try to contact me regarding the debit order that did not go off, and failed to give a proper response via email, it is unacceptable to just cancel my membership!! This after I made a payment. I understand that it does not show on the bank records immediately but they should have contacted me instead of just cancelling my membership!!! I feel the error was between FNB and Discovery, not with me! Disgusted with their level of service!
