I receive a subsidy towards my monthly medical aid premium from my pension fund. At the beginning of December however, the full medical aid premium of R2130.00 was deducted from my banking account instead of only R1116.00, after subsidy. After enquiring from Claire at the financial dept of Hosmed, it was explained to me that my subsidy was not taken into account & that I would be refunded no later than Tuesday 18 December, which did not happen. I again contacted Hosmed customer serv on 03/01/2013. Norma in customer serv spoke to Claire in finances & again I was promised that the amount owing to me would be refunded on Tuesday 08/01/2013. I was however informed that it would take a day or 2 to reflect on my banking account at Absa Bank, as Hosmed banks with another banking institution. I received the following reference number: 6053995. It is however now allready Saturday 12/01/2013 & still there is no sign of a refund on my banking account. I find it unacceptable that I have to keep contacting Hosmed regarding this matter, only to receive empty promises.
