Change of banking details

I changed banks and the new bank advised me that Discovery will not change details and sent me a letter to send to them. I called the call centre to get an email address, but the person offered to change the details telephonically after all the security questions. When all done she then said to change the account details for pay-outs one need to follow a whole new procedure, forms, id etc. Point I made was what's the difference. They already changed the debit order, now why not change the other. They confirmed my identity already. Neither the consultant or her manager would budge on this. Discovery is very happy to take our money, but have issues when they have to pay out their money.

Secondly, I have 5 different Discovery products and as a client one had to call each one individually. There is no central point at the Discovery group to do this. Each product is managed by a different Discovery company.

The Discovery life person was just too happy to cancel the policy. Well if you are not happy sir, we can send you the forms to cancel your policy.

I have been a discovery client for over 10 years. I expected better service from a multi billion rand company like this.
