My monther that is a dependant on my medical aid was scheduled for an operation on 14 November 2012. I got an Auth Nr from the medical aid for the procedure (Auth Nr 70275809). When I now submitted the account to the medical aid, the claim was rejected with the folloowing remark codes - 7 Treatment date not provided. (The medical account has a date on it of 14 Nov 2012.) 28 The patient was treated while the prcatice was not operative (What bull is this. My mom has been operated on by the doctor before), 16 Claim not paid as the patient was not an active member at the time of treatment (Bull again. My monther has been on my medical aid for a fe years now. I pay my monthly subscription of almost R5000 per month).
This is not the 1st time that I have had an issue with the medical aid. Fedhealth does this until at the end they tell me that the claim is stail. In the last year I had to pay of R40, 000 of medical bills as Fedhealth does not cover the claims. This is realy service from such a big company.
