Intercare
Intercare Glenfair has a stinking attitude

I went to the Glenfair Intercare on Monday, 03//02/2014 with a stomach bug. I was feeling sick and had not had any solid foods for more than 24 hours. Upon my arrival, a lady assisted me and after a while said that I can go in to see the doctor. I got my latest claims paid statement from my medical aid and realised that Intercare Glenfair charged me an extra R 136.10 for using their "emergency" service. They did not even have the courtesy or decency to explain to me what this meant on the day of my visit to the doctor. I called today, 07/02/2014 at 10:20 and spoke to a lady called Kitty. She went to speak to her manager and her manager had a very non-chalant attitude about the entire situation. Kitty then informed me that just because they (Intercare) did not tell me in advance about this "emergency" service, that i should not pay for it. I absolutely have a different view about this and feel that i should not be charged for something that I was not informed about. And Kitty's line manager's attitude towards me and my query left me feeling that she is not bothered at all and could care less about me. And these are the people who work with society's most vulnerable? Sickening!!!
