Today, being the 5th of Feb 2014, i was informed by a family relative ( who shares the same surname & initials of my Dad), that a staff member called informing her that her account was unpaid and that the manager was intending pressing charges as the bill was not paid upon leaving . The thing is ... they never frequented the hotel on these dates . Being upset, she asked us to sort things out ASAP.
I informed my parents who were staying at the hotel from (04/02/14 to 06/02/14) of what just happened and they confronted the hotel staff at the riverside hotel. With no surprise, they contacted the wrong client! What i would like to know is how does one contact the wrong client, albeit with the same initials and surname, when the clients ID number is used upon check in & when the clients luggage is STILL in the room?? besides that, the person responsible for the terrible mistake, Solomon, decided to take a walk and vacated the premises.
No amount of apologies will remove the embarrassment caused and suffered by my parents because staff at this hotel cannot read! i strongly advise people to think twice booking here as a near relative might receive a message of an unpaid bill!
